Your letters, cards and prayers mean more than you may ever know. Here is how to stay connected with the child you sponsor.

Write to your child
Your sponsored child delights in receiving mail from you. Write a letter and send it to our office in Lethbridge, or email it using the form below. We will deliver it to your child.
- Introduce your family and include a photo
- Write about your hobbies, interests, school or work
- Describe a favourite holiday, season or sport
- Send words of encouragement
Please do not include your last name or address in your letter or on letterhead, and be culturally sensitive in what you share.
Your child writes back
You will receive correspondence from your child one or two times a year, including an Annual Progress Report and an updated photo.
Some of our children live in very remote places, so mail and email can be delayed. We will do our best to deliver every letter in good time.
Birthdays
Buy a birthday card, sign it and send it to our office in Lethbridge. We will forward it to your child.
If your child does not have a specific birth date, consider sending a card at the same time each year.
Christmas
Send a card or letter to our office in time to reach your child for Christmas. You may also give $5, and our in-country coordinators will buy a gift for your child in their own country, which also supports the local economy.
Our in-country directors hold a special Christmas celebration for sponsored children.
Small gifts and extra giving
Photos, colouring sheets and postcards are welcome, if they fit in an envelope 5¾ by 8¾ inches or smaller. To keep things fair between children and cost effective, we cannot accept larger gifts.
Financial gifts cannot be directed to one child, but gifts beyond your sponsorship help pay for summer camps, secondary school fees and temporary support for children waiting for a new sponsor. You can also bless your child’s community through the Gift Catalogue.
Visit your child
Bridges of Hope can help you visit your sponsored child through a Global Connection Experience trip. A staff member from your child’s country will accompany you.
Please give us three to six months’ notice, and see your doctor about immunizations and travel health.
